This is just the Beginning

Hi, everyone! Welcome to my brand new blog, Paws and Read.  My name is Sydney Gardner and I am thrilled to share my love for animals with you! I am so eager to start this blog, but before we dive in I feel like I should share a little bit about myself. I am sixteen years old and currently taking college classes while attending high school. I have had a huge interest in animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up in a household full of pets, you can't help but love them! Just a few of the animals that I have had experience with are dogs, cats, birds, fish, chickens, bearded dragons, goats, rabbits, and the list goes on! I plan to pursue a career as a wildlife veterinarian, and I currently shadow at a local veterinary hospital. Not only do I adore being around and helping animals, but I also love taking photos of them too! I will be sure to incorporate some of my photography into my posts.

My goal for this blog is to share my passion for animals with others and hopefully establish a love for animals within them. Animals are such extraordinary and complex organisms. From the tiniest fly to the largest whale; all animals are important and amazing in their own way. Whether you realize it or not, animals are vitally important for us humans and we rely on them for numerous reasons. I think it is safe to say the world is just better with animals by our side.
